Sabbath, according to the Jews, was the seventh day of the week observed from Friday evening to Saturday evening as a day of rest and worship. Among Christians, Sunday was observed as a day of rest and worship. However, Sunday is just a day when we go to mass or do other things. But however you observe Sabbath, it is wrong. It is not Saturday or Sunday and it is not a day of rest and worship.
The Sabbath means more than going to synagogue or church. It means Election Day, the day we exercise our national Will collectively. We should make this day a national holiday as indicated in the commandment, that is, it should be a day where there is nothing for us to do but choose the right person for the elected position he or she is filling.
When Jesus said, “Many are called but few are chosen,” he was speaking of elected officials. In the 2016 presidential election, there were 17 republican candidates and four democrats. Nine months later, only three republicans and two democrats are left till the day only one republican and one democrat are left to battle it out for the honor to be president. That is how we choose our candidates whether it is for president or for any other publicly held jobs. As Jesus had said, out of the myriads of candidates, “few are chosen.” This is the law of participating in a democracy. God wants us to vote, not work on Sabbath Day. Because voting is a mandate from God, we should take this seriously. It is vital to take the time to learn everything we need to know about the candidates so we can make a conscious and intelligent decision.
Let us see what God had to say about Sabbath:
“Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy. Six days you shall labor and do all your work, but the seventh day is the Sabbath of the Lord your God. In it you shall do no work: you, nor your son, nor your daughter, nor your male servant, nor your female servant, nor your cattle, nor your stranger who is within your gates. For in six days the Lord made the heavens and the earth, the sea, and all that is in them, and rested the seventh day. Therefore the Lord blessed the Sabbath day and hallowed it.”
(Exodus 20:2-17 NKJV)
God made the heavens and the earth, the sea, and all that is in them, and rested the seventh day. Then He blessed and hallowed that day. This is the only day that God had made sacred. Sabbath or Election Day, according to God, must be consecrated so that nobody could say that they did not have time to vote. The sacredness of our country depend on how we honor this day. The importance of this day is now being revealed to us.
On Sabbath, we choose who will be our God (ruler). In a democratic country, the ruler include the president, vice president, senators, representatives, governors, mayors, and local officials. Our Will is transferred to our rulers when we choose to vote. We give our rulers permission to govern us and make decisions for us.
Our Will is holy because it is a gift from God, so God asks us to keep the election process sacred; it is an extension of God. It is for this reason that we say there is no power on earth greater than the collective will of the people. Mahatma Gandhi and the people of India proved that against the greatest army of the world – the British army.Corazon Aquino and the people of the Philippines showed the world how to peacefully remove the tyrant Ferdinand Marcos from power through a people’s revolution. Not a shot was fired when communism fell in Russia and East Germany. Throughout Eastern Europe, the people themselves removed the greatest threat to the world at the time: communism. That is how God works.
Naturally, God would want us to make a careful deliberation when we choose our candidates. God wants Election Day to be a national holiday to give everyone a chance to exercise his or her free Will.
Free Will is freedom. Therefore, all work must cease with every heart and soul focused on choosing the candidate worthy to be called the Vicar of God. In a democracy, that is the President. The Constitution is our Ark of the Covenant. It is our sacred duty to vote, and our votes are not for trade.
Sabbath or Election Day must be hallowed, that is, it must be fully observed. God did all the work for six days and on Sabbath, He rested. On the day that He rested, we the people took over the task of selecting who will guide us to freedom and democracy. We the people are responsible for freedom. Freedom is the name of God, and democracy is His home.
Because this is a mandate from God, we are told not to steal election. We are told not to vote twice or three times or more. We are told not to stuff election boxes. Stealing election is a crime. We had been stealing election for many years. God cannot help us if we steal election. That is why our government is now a socialist instead of a democracy. And you have to answer to God why this is happening to us. Because God is a spirit we think He is not around or perhaps even dead. Nothing could be further from the truth. The atheist do not know that without God he or she could not exist. God created all that is in heaven and earth, the sea and all that is them. Then He rested on the seventh day because He knew that we can take over. He knew that when the time comes, we the people will fight for what is right. We will fight for what is God.
Along came Donald Trump, the billionaire and reality TV show personality. He is a republican. Senator Ted Cruz calls him a democrat in the last forty-years even though he voted for Governor Mitt Romney in the last election. This is because he is a businessman and he contributes to both parties. Donald Trump is funding his own campaign. The rest of the candidates are taking money from the establishment; you can rest assured that the government will be the same. No change will take place.
The people voting for Donald Trump are the working-class white Americans, middle class, some Tea Party and some evangelicals. Most of the working-class do not have higher education but nevertheless they are voting for what is right for this country. What is in their heart tells them what is wrong with their country. The Trump supporters feel voiceless and powerless. America is in bad shape and Trump says we’re going to make America great “again.”America used to be great, now Trump, with the help from his supporters, will make America great again. He calls it a phenomenon, a movement – an awakening.
Trump borrowed his slogan from President Ronald Reagan, “Make America great again.” Just like Reagan, he is 69 years old when he entered politics. Like Reagan, Trump was an entertainer on TV, Reagan in the movies. And like Reagan, Trump was a democrat before becoming a republican.
Trump has put illegal immigration front and center of his campaign –“We have horrendous problem with illegal aliens, sanctuary cities & crimes.”He also said, “We will build a wall and Mexico would pay for it.”Among all presidential candidates, only Trump has ever BUILT any REAL THINGS. And he also called for total and complete shutdown of Muslims entering the United States until our country’s representatives can figure out what is going on. This has unleashed a barrage of insults from the White House, from Europe, from Turkey, Saudi Arabia, and from republicans to democrats. Europeans called Trump an idiot, a buffoon, a demagogue, and a wazzock. But on March 4, 2016, as Europe’s migrant crisis spiraled toward yet another catastrophe, a European Union (EU) leader issued a blunt warning to millions of Muslim: stay away. “Do not believe the smugglers. Do not risk your lives and your money. It is all for nothing. Greece or any other European country will no longer be a transit country.” In January 2016, Trump told Maria Bartiromo of Fox Business Network, “There is something going on. Go to Brussels. Go to Paris. Go to different places. There is something going on and it’s not good, where they want Shariah law, where they want this, where they want things that – you know, there has to be some assimilation. There is no assimilation. There is something bad going on.” He added: “You go to Brussels – I was in Brussels a long time ago, 20 years ago, so beautiful, everything is so beautiful – it’s like living in a hellhole right now.” On March 22, 2016, Belgium was attacked by two terrorists – 34 people died. Is Trump visionary? All that is happening to Trump points to this.
The Sabbath is Election Day and must be observed as such. Because it is a mandate from God, there must be no thievery of the process. Only one vote for one person. This is a democracy.
